I’ll never forget the moment I was emailing Amy Cave at Dunn Brothers. My kids were in her spring production of Beauty & the Beast. (Jackson Castello was the Beast, Ruby was Belle.) I was telling Amy about our upcoming summer production of The Sound of Music (his third summer to direct an ambitious youth show). I had no idea what I was doing … just being a mom trying to help my kid do what he was born to do. I was hanging on by my fingernails organizing a dozen+ kids for Jack’s visionary shows. Back to Dunn Brothers and Amy’s e-mail, I’ll never forget her words and the relief that swept over me: “I’d love to help him.” Did she ever!!! I’ve found no greater youth advocate — in any arena — than Amy Cave.
